The annual PRION2017 conference gathering experts for prion and other neurodegenerative diseases took place in Edinburgh, Scotland, 23–26 May. A wide range of lectures and poster presentations included contributions from our lab membres "Photodynamic inactivation of prion strains by sulfonated phthalocyanines" and "Prion infection alters cell calcium stores and decreases the cell protease activated receptor signalling".
