On October 10-11, 2024, the second Annual Conference of the National Institute for Neurological Research (Neur-IN) took place. The establishment of Neur-IN was supported by the EXCELES program of the National Recovery Plan, which is funded by the European Union. Neur-IN aims to promote research, primarily in the field of neurodegenerative diseases, and involves over 250 researchers.
The conference program included a range of high-quality lectures, among which was a presentation on the use of the RT-QuIC method in diagnostics titled "RT-QuIC for prionopathies and synucleinopathies," presented by the head of the Prion Laboratory, Assoc. Prof. Karel Holada. In the accompanying poster section, Dr. Soňa Baranová presented her contribution titled "Ante-mortem diagnosis of prion diseases from cerebrospinal fluid: open experimental study."
